Drugs and alcohol can take a toll on our bodies and depending on how it impacts our functioning we may need to be admitted into a low to high intensity residential treatment program.
Residential programs are ‘live-in’ programs where patients can live on-site for anywhere from 3 weeks to 90 days, depending on how well they are stabilizing in treatment and other complexities such as medical and/or mental health conditions.
Before being able to access this type of treatment, we walk you through a thorough screening by phone. Sometimes, depending on how much, how often and what substance our patient is using it may require that they get stabilized in a Withdrawal Management (Detox) environment first.
During Residential treatment, patients engage in therapeutic activities such as individual therapy, group counseling and other activities that help patients develop new coping skills so that they can learn how to engage in life without having to rely on drugs and/or alcohol anymore.
We’ve got many of these types of programs in Solano, Contra Costa & Alameda counties, and certain ones even specialize in providing treatment to pregnant and post-partum Women and children, those are our Perinatal programs.
