Bi-Bett is a California Non-Profit Corporation founded in 1969 that provides Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services in Alameda, Solano, and Contra Costa Counties. Bi-Bett plays an important role in the community, providing desperately needed treatment services with an array of intensities, including Withdrawal Management (Detox), Residential, Perinatal, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Driving Under the Influence (DUI) education programs.
We provide effective and affordable human services to individuals, families, and communities affected by alcohol and drug-related issues. We believe that everyone has inherent value and the potential to grow through change—when given the rightful opportunity to choose. Our goal is to foster culturally appropriate, alcohol- and drug-free environments where individuals can experience personal and social growth.
Inspired by Bion & Betty
Our name stems from the combination of Bion and Betty, whose tragic deaths resulting from addiction inspired our founder, David Brown, to help others and establish the county’s first addiction treatment facility. We have since expanded to include 6 residential treatment facilities, 4 DUI education programs, 2 Intensive Outpatient Programs, and several Sober Living Environments.
